Quick run to CVS proves worth-while!

Boy, I tell you... couponing is the bizzzzznessss! Hahaha. I don't know where I get all this energy from! But deals are just TOO hard to decline :o) So here I go again.

Found another deal at CVS: buy 2 Nivea hand creams (in tin can) for .99 ea, and get $6 ECB back!

CHA-CHING!

Of course, I dragged my husband over to the store, and luckily, there was plenty of them in stock. I already had $5 ECB to start, so if you want to do this deal, you'd have to start with about $10 to cover everything plus taxes. Don't worry, you're going to make money here! So keep on reading!!! Here's what I did:

Trans#1
1 Crest toothpaste $2.99
2 Nivea
1 Gummi bears
Used $.50/Crest (PG)
Used $5 ECB
Paid $.46 + tax
Got $6 back

Trans#2
2 Nivea
Paid $1,98 +tax
Got $6 back

Trans #3
2 Softsoap body wash $3 ea
2 Speed stick deodorant $2.99 ea
4 Nivea
Used (2) $1 Speed stick MQ (SS 1/20)
Used (2) $.75 Softsoap MQ (SS 1/20)
Used $12 ECB from tran #1 & #2
Pay $.44 + tax
Receive $18 ECB

I spent no more than $5 OOP on this deal (plus my $5 ECB) and still have $18 to spend for next time!

Aren't you glad you read through this? ^.^

Back in the saddle at Walgreens - yeehaw!

I previously talked about the difficulty of doing deals at Walgreens. Hence, my very first "brag" using a Walgreens scenario. After a very wonderful MONEYMAKER deal last week with the Bayer Comfort EZ glucose meter (which was FREE after coupon + $5 RR and 3,000 points), I saw another deal. This time, it was for buying Colgate toothpaste and/or toothbrush, on sale for $2.99 + 1,500 points. BUT............

this past Saturday, somehow there was an overlap, which added another 1,500 points, totaling 3,000 points! Each 1,000 points equal $1, so the product was ultimately FREE.... but then, there's coupons :o) Don't you just love it when the "couponing stars" align and make the shopping world a better place ^.^ ?

Please note that I started with 40,000+ points already (again, thanks to my BOUNTIFUL haul last week!) I broke it up into 8 transactions. Here goes:

Walgreens haul - less than $7!

I have a confession to make: Walgreens is more difficult than CVS because they don't let you roll RRs and they don't track your purchases. Plus, there's only 1 Wags in my hometown so if they're out of stock, I usually lose out on a deal. They don't give RRs or points on rain checks either. BUT, with the introduction of their Walgreens Rewards program, I have a new motivation to go!

In addition, last week, they had a MAGNIFICENT MONEY-MAKER on a blood glucose meter (made $8 on each one I bought ^.^) so I am glad to announce that I am back on the saddle with Walgreens!!!

I will break this down for you AS IF you were doing it so that you can easily duplicate my transaction:
