Another score! Picked up a few packs of Ivory bar soap at Walgreens for FREE (that's my favorite word!) They were on sale for .99 each, and I used $1 off coupon from this past weekend's PG insert. I got several not only because it's free but also because I heard I can make "home-made laundry detergent" using a bar of shaved soap. I found this recipe in the latest "All You" magazine:
DIY Laundry Detergent
Mix together a bar of shaved soap (Ivory or Fels-Naptha), 1 cup borax (I already have this from a kid's experiment), 1 cup Arm & Hammer Super Washing soda and an essential oil (optional).
It didn't say how many loads it makes, but I'm quite sure This is enough for at least 2 loads! Well, I'm going to want to try making some and I'll let you know how it turns out!
Happy shopping!

CVS paid ~ME~ to shop!
I'm back! The household has been so busy with work schedules and baseball games for our son that I have not had much time to shop. But that's okay because the beauty of couponing is that there are always good deals out there and you can start anytime! So today I found these items and MADE MONEY for shopping.
This deal required multiple transactions. My husband and I have separate CVS extracare cards so I am able to do multiple deals :o) If you are new, NOW is a great time to start couponing at CVS because of the Nivea money-maker. Here's what I did:
Trans #1
Cortaid $5.99 (used $5.99 coupon from CVS machine) = FREE
Nivea Creme tin $.99
Paid: $1.51
Received $2 extracare
Trans #2
1 Nivea Creme tin $.99
1 Sour cream crackers
Used $2 extracare from trans #1
Paid: $.07
Received $2 extracare
Trans #3
2 Nivea soft moisturizer tin $1.98
Used $2 extracare from trans #2
Paid: $.15
Received $4 extracare
Grand total out-of-pocket: $1.73
NET GAIN: $2.27!!!
I did this same thing under my card but made more money because I already had $2.50 in extracare to start with.. overall net gain....... (drumroll, please)............
$7.16!!!!
So......... what are you waiting for?!?! No coupons needed for this deal other than the ones CVS already gives you! Hope you're able to get to CVS before they run out.
